In the third quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Ghana saw varied performance among the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a look at the trends for each app based on weekly downloads and active users.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, starting the quarter at around 17.8K and peaking at approximately 33K in mid-September. The app also maintained a robust base of weekly active users, increasing from 258K at the beginning of the quarter to 281K by mid-September.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 8K and reaching around 11.6K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 69.8K and stabilizing around 68K towards the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride saw a steady climb in weekly downloads, from 5.8K to over 10K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also grew, reaching a peak of 146.8K in early September.

Shaxi experienced a decline in weekly downloads early in the quarter, dropping from 5.2K to about 912 by mid-August, but recovered to 2.7K by the end of September. Data on active users was not available.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively stable weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 1.4K to 1.9K throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, fluctuating between 17.7K and 18.6K.
